Resetting wireless configuration

Asked by Ajay Srinivasan

I was trying to establish a wi-fi hotspot in my Dell inspiron n4110 laptop for my android phone to connect to it.
The inbuilt hotspot feature of ubuntu 12.04 didn't seem to work for some reason . so, I read the following article and did what was told . .
http://thenewbieblog.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/
After doing those things my wifi status shows 'unmanaged' and doesn't display any hotspots. How to bring back my system to normal ?
also tell me the easy way to create a wi-fi hotspot for internet sharing. are there any tools available?

/etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf

interface=wlan0
driver=nl80211
...
is your wifi driver correspondding to this one ? if not, this config file is incorrect, and it could be the cause of the problem.
