Intermittent Wireless connection issues - follow up to question 199216 (which fixed original issue)

When question 199216 fixed my original wireless connection problem, Iǘe since done new updates through the Update Manager. Now the three things that happen when I boot my machine to Ubuntu: 1) when I log in, the Wireless connection never initiates, 2)the second thing is the pop up box appears to verify the password authentication and the connection connects after 5 minutes, 3) third is the wireless connection will connect seamlessly after rebooting when the first issue happens.

Have files changed causing this intermittent connection problem?
