For your Broadcom 4311 wireless chip, you should be using the b43 driver, which works fine as soon as you manually add the firmware on a new installation. You even have a choice of firmware, the Broadcom firmware which installing the b43-fwcutter package will offer to download (the first time it is installed), or the open source firmware in the firmware-b43-installer package.
The firmware files go into different directories, installing both will cause the Broadcom files to be preferentially used.
The firmware is put into /lib/firmware/b43 or /lib/firmware/b43-open. You may already have the files present.

Your previous attempts at getting the wireless to work left the b43 driver blacklisted, so you need to clean up before the driver can even be loaded. I directory /etc/modprobe.d, remove the exact line "blacklist b43" where ever it occurs in every file.
Try a reboot to see if that works.

Can you help with this problem?
