Hi ketanbd,

if you want to setup your broadband connection just plug your cable into computer and insert any necessary data if system ask for it. Ubuntu should configure itself proper connection but if it didn't then you might have some issues with lan port drivers.

If you go on your top panel, where you have specified clock and user and where you have icon for network connection, do you see any avalible network connections? If not then you probably need to install drivers for your lan card.

You can also test your connection from your terminal by typing "ifconfig eth0" or "ping 173.194.35.177" without quotes. If ping succed then your connection is ok.

If this helps solve your question, please mark it as solved.

Regards,
Miha
