What router do you use on that network?
Can you please give me the model number and the manufacture brand?
Is the wire-less connection working on other computers running Ubuntu or other operating systems?

The router is moot, the wifi device is disabled. So it could be ANY router and it wouldn't make any difference at all.

Thanks for the heads-up actionparsnip. I didn't notice the router information was out there because I thought they never connected to the router or get any information from it. My bad.

sladner84: are you sure you didn't have internet access when entering that command in the terminal?
I can't seem to find any problem in your log... Perhaps I am not looking correctly?
Is this issue happening with other computers? It might be a connectivity issue due to interferences. It often happens with old hardware or under an aerial lane.

This issue seems to only be affecting my desktop computer.... When I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop I started out with the Beta2 and upgraded when 12.04 full version was released and I never had any problems with it... and yes at the time I had internet access.. every so often i have to switch from one of my wireless networks to another just to keep the internet working and as for hardware.. here are my specs...... My computer is a HP Pavilion model number M8200N and the networking card that I installed is a Linksys. Model number WMP600N... I think it might be a bug having to do with the DNS Name Resolve. let me know if there is any info you still require..And thanks for any and all help

Wifi Flickers on an off.

Similar problem as sladner84 (sladner84) said on 2012-04-28.

Ubuntu ones will drop the connection without warning. The wireless router is within 10 feet of the computer.
