VPN password not saving

Asked by Gjorge Mihailov

My VPN connection passwords don't save. I have selected Saved in the edit connection form, I enter the passwords and click save. After I reopen the connection the passwords fields are blank. I did a research on this but I couldn't find the solution. Can someone help me with this error please!?

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks, also what application are you using to make the VPN connection?

I ran into this problem before, I believe it had something to do with accessing the keyring.

You will need to delete everything and start over.

1) Delete all references of VPN group password and user password from "Password and Encryption Keys".
2) Delete the entry in VPN Connection Manager
3) Recreate the VPN entry in connection manager but DO NOT put in any passwords or save any passwords.
4) Connect via the VPN - you will be prompted for the passwords at this point - again do not save.
5) After you connect for the first time - disconnect and then go back into the VPN Manager
6) Now enter you passwords and save them.
7) Try connecting again.

Hope this helps
