DNS Error

I get a DNS Error when trying to download a setup file. How can I do this without getting this error?

this means something is wrong at the other end.
give it a few days for them to discover the error and fix it.
then try downloading it again.

Hi Jeanene,

If you can tell us the file you are trying to download, it may be possible to find an alternate source.

You said you were trying to download a "setup" file -- if this is for a windows program, note that these will not run directly under linux, as this is not a windows OS. You can however in some cases use the program "wine". It is usually recommended to first try to find an alternate program that is linux native, if possible, and use wine as a second option.
