problem with wifi (broadcom BCM4313) in ubuntu 11.10

Asked by muhia john njoroge

I have a problem with my wifi after the installation of ubuntu 11.10. The Wifi works well with other os like window 7 and the previous ubuntu.
The problem is that the connection is terminated right after connecting. I cannot see any visible disabled wifi connection unless i use the "connect to hidden wireless network".
the command "lspci" shows that i have a broadcom BCM4313 hardware.

Help me with anything that will resolve this problem.
Thanks

When the connection drops, run:

sudo lshw -C network; dmesg | tail -n 20; lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks

According to:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_wireless

It uses the brcmsmac driver.

Can you help with this problem?
