give the output as asked by andrew;

alternately you juss follow steps :

plug ur broadband stick
go to wireless connection
make new connection
select india in country
then select idea and make a new connection for password u juss need to talk with idea cellular provider

if it doesn't works

please give out-put as asked earlier
terminal -> uname -a; lsb_release -a; lsusb
