cannot enable wifi once logged into ubuntu 11.04 (use broadcom proprietary driver)

Asked by salabha

My lenovo G550 laptop have broadcom wireless adapter.

After upgrading to ubuntu 11.04 i cannot enable wifi after booting.

I can use it if i enable hardware switch before start up.

I was able to enable wifi after start up in ubuntu 10.10.

How can i solve this problem?

Hello,

You have to uninstall the Broadcom driver that came with Natty 11.04 and install the Maverick 10.10 driver and lock it.

Allan :)
