Feedback on the Lenovo Thinkpad T420

Asked by Adria Pujol

I have a ThinkPad T420 (4178-83G) and Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit doesn't recognize my broadband mobile card.
What I have to do?

Regards,

Adria

Hi Adria,

I moved your question to Ubuntu in general, as peripherals like this wouldn't be tested during certification. Therefore you're better off getting this question in view of the whole community, rather than just the few people who observer the ubuntu-certification project.

Out of curiosity, is this card PCMIA/PCIX card, or is it a SIM card? Could you attach a link to a product page so we can all get an idea of exactly what you're talking about?

Thanks,

I was convinced that my thinkpad T420 had a SIM card integrated but I discovered that my Thinkpad T420:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ThinkPad T420 wide
4178-83G***

WWAN ready
Additional 3G Modul: 0A36186 (necessary for WWAN function)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The thread is solved.

Sorry for the inconveniences.

Regards,

Adria
