how to share a network connection on ubuntu

i have an internet connection on my laptop and i want to use it on my mobile by creating an adhoc wireless network ... how can i do this ? OS is latest ubuntu..

i have made the adhoc network and it gets connected the problem is .. i am using usb mobile broadband and i want to share it through wireless network .. what do i do in this regard like in windows i just make that connection shared and it works ?

Since you have the network set up already, then you can provide your Internet connection to computers on it with "Shared to other computers" in the Network Manager. You set that on the connection that gives you Internet access (not the ad-hoc network itself that you want to share to).
