Hi
to run exe files you will need to install wine you can from Ubuntu software centre.. but having said that you properly won't be able to use that cd.
If you are trying go use your wireless internet have you clicked on the icon for the network connections?
it is near the clock at the top right corner.
just click on it and look for your modem. it should be next to the wireless symbol. mine has DLINK next to it.
clink on it and it should connect.
Neil

If this is not any help can you put more info, make an model of laptop etc.

Hello Neil,
Thank you so much for reply. I checked the network settings. Its able to detect the modem, but failed to connect. The used password is working fine with Vista OS.
My laptop is CQ60-compaq with 3GM RAM and AMD Sempron processor.
Regards,
Unni.
