Are you behind a proxy?

Check your firewall
Check if you had configured it to use NAT instead of bridging.
Check your port-forwarding if you had it configured as NAT.

HTH.

it a corporate net. host has a dynamic ip. seems firewall blocks all port except 80 for those ips. Solved it temporarily by assigning to host pc white ip addr.
does anyone know what ports should be opened for this: "sudo add-apt-repository ..."?

to delance
i had problem only when registered repository. in browser it open correctly
