cant use usb modem

i have a ZTE AX226 usb wimax modem...it is a plug & play device.In win XP it works well but ubuntu 11.04 cant detect this usb device.so please provide me any solution or software.

Ubuntu isn't windows and with USB modems the driver is of no value. If you can give the output of the command, we can advise

To run a command as administrator (user "root"),
use "sudo <command>".
See "man sudo_root" for details.

You can use the ID in the lsusb output to find guides.
