HP DV6313 with Broadcom wireless

Asked by Henry Rehling

Cannot get the correct Boradcom 802.11g wireless adptr driver for this computer. I was excited about running Ubuntu, but am afraid getting the correct driver is going to be a bit over my head. It seems that it will take an act of congress to find it and install it, more than I will most likely be able to handle with a new OS I am totally not use to. I have read some of the driver comments and cannot believe what all has to be done to get a wifi card to work. Can someone kindly point me in a direction for simple help that I can do without having to be a programmer? The driver the OS wants to install (BCM4311>43228) doesn't even load. Updates do not provide any other driver listings whatsoever. I am at wits end and about to go back to my Win7.
