Wireless Connection issues when using Battery on Netbook

Asked by Dominic Blakey

Using Ubuntu 11.04 Natty on an MSI Wind U130 Netbook. Standard Harware.
When I use the Power Source instead of Battery, the Wireless Connection works fine. But when I use the Battery, the Wireless Connection either drops or is weak to the point of Firefox not loading any webpages.

Ubuntu has always said my Battery is critically low (even when I have fully charged it), but then I check the Battery icon at the top and I have 5 hours left. But could Ubuntu some how disable the Wireless Connection in order to preserve battery power?

Thanks, Dominic
