Oh this is easy to fix. I posted the way how to fix it in another post you just need to do the exact same thing:

You can try to see if there are drivers available for your particular model for linux systems, but you said you already updated alot of stuff.

K so this is what you need to do, get ndisgtk and you may need ndiswrapper you can download these or if you still have your ubuntu disk you can get them in [diskdrive]\pool\main\n (if you can't get them by directly installing them from the disk then refer to this post:https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ndisgtk/+question/147461 )

once you have that installed you can open it and put in the .inf file for your router, this can usually be found on your installation disk that came with your router, and if there is more than one of them of course see which one works, but try the Windows XP first.

@Leo, about the post you made in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ndisgtk/+question/147461 you need to replace "*.deb" with the actual name of the .deb

Network manager..... the one where you choose your network?

Yes, When I select windows xp driver in the "Wireless network drivers", I can see the driver installed "net8192cu Hardware Present: Yes", but when I press the "Configure Network" Button I can´t see in the network manager the option to make a wireless connection.

If I type in a terminal "iwconfig", I have no wireless extensions

Sometimes there is two inf files, for the same OS of windows.... maybe try using an inf file for Windows 7 or some other OS.

With Windows XP driver, Windows Vista 64, Windows 7 64 seems to be installed ("net8192cu Hardware Present: Yes"). With Windows 7 32 and Vista 32 shows "Invalid driver". With XP64 The program crashes and then If I restart program was blocked, and I can´t use it.

This thread may or may not help - slightly different model - but the approach doesn't use ndiswrapper: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1522815

I follow the steps of this post, but don´t work. I suposse that the model of the adapter is different

You need to stop using ndiswrapper, stop using RTL8192SU (blacklist ndiswrapper and blacklist r8192s_usb ) and then follow this procedure instead:

http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/belkin-micro-usb-adapter/#post-2717574

You will need to compile and install the following (rtl8192cu) Realtek driver package

RTL8192CU_8188CUS_8188CE-VAU_linux_v2.0.1324.20110126

which you can get here:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=2&PNid=48&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true#RTL8192CU

This is also mentioned here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/763366

If that does not work, you will probably need to wait for the final version of kernel 2.6.39 to come out. Then recompile the RTL8192CU_8188CUS_8188CE-VAU_linux_v2.0.1324.20110126 driver against kernel version 2.6.39

I'm tried to install the last RC of the Kernel 2.6.39 but the adapter still don't work. I tried compiling the driver, but I have errors. The old laptop have a problem, the LAN and the WIFI adapters are KO, and a friend gift me this Belkin adapter. I will try to install dependencies offline to compile.

Can you help with this problem?
