natty unstable: Internet speed

Asked by Patrick Quick

A few weeks ago, auto-updates updated 10.10 AMD64 to kernal version x.28 and my Internet speed slowed to a crawl. I started booting from GRUB to 10.10 AMD64 version x.27 and everything went back to normal speeds (Comcast 22MB). A couple of days later, I installed 11.04 AMD64 and again my Internet speeds have gone back to a crawl. This is a pretty vanilla install using the defaults for installation. Any suggestions short of continue booting to the lower versions prior to x.28?

Log a bug.

This applied to 10.10 AMD64 10.10 kernal x.28+ not just the beta of 11. In all honesty, 11 is a little faster...

Then log a bug with the new kernel and site it as a regression bug.
