You can use your browser for setup. In Firefox, turn off things like NoScript, then using a wired connection to your router, enter the url 192.168.0.1 (or whatever your router default network is, maybe 192.168.1.1). You should get to a login screen, and you'll have to read the manual to see what usename/password to give. Usually the user name is admin, but may be blank on some Linksys routers. The password may default to linksys, but if trying those does not work, read the manual. The setup is usually just a matter of entering things like the ESSID/name you give your router, maybe limiting the number of allowed connections, selecting a wireless encryption and password,... Just take a look at the all the offered tabs and start with the defaults. Until you get things working, do not go overboard in setting things like allowed MACs, or limiting times or ports. I'd suggest also that you turn on broadcast for ESSID until you get things working. You can turn it off later.
Then disconnect the wire, and see if you see your router in the list provided by networkmanager. Usually, the problems encountered at at the client end, getting your wireless card in the p c to work.
