Problem installing ath9k in ubuntu 10.10

I am new to linux. I change the wifi card of my laptop (ASUS U52F) for Atheros AR9287, the computer do not reconize the card. so i download the ath9k driver and tried to install by .

   1. ./scrip/driver-select ath9k
   2. make
   3. sudo make install

But it don't install, instead says "Fatal: Could not open /lib module/2.6.35-25-generic/modules.dep.temp for writing: permision denied"

Try sudo su
then
make install
