mobile broadband Freezes ubuntu..

Hi everyone...
I have just installed ubuntu 10.10 on my labtop... and it works great compared to Windows vista.. :-)
The only problem is that whenever i connect my Huawei 3 modem to the internet the whole computer freezes and the only option left is to turn the power of.. Anyone got a solution?

You could try 10.04 which is a Long Term Support (LTS) release and generally more stable. 32 bit versions are generally more stable than 64.
