Network login for desktop computers

Asked by Joubert van Zyl

My company is currently switching over from Windows with Novell, to Ubuntu. The one thing we would like to keep, without running the Novell service, is being able to log on to any computer with the same username and password, and be able to view emails from any computer with the desired program.

There seems to be some limited support of netware in Ubuntu. The following links might help

My advice since you have start the migration step. Set up a cental ldap or kerberos server and authenticate your Ubuntu clients from there until the migration process finishes. When everything is migrated de-comission your Netware Server and use ldap or kerberos instead.

Can you help with this problem?
