Ubuntu issues on a Intel 915GAV ethernet controller is not working

Asked by Guido Zamora

Hi guys,

I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 in my PC, motherboard model Intel 915GAV, but the ethernet controller is not working.

I configured it (IP, DNS, Gateway) but I just can´t go through internet.

Is there any way I can check if Ubuntu is using the correct driver for my Ethernet card?

Thanks in advance

In a terminal, the command "lspci" should give you a list containing a Network Controller. Then rerun
lspci -vvnn
to get a lot more detail , including the kernel modules and driver.
the lsmod command should also contain the driver the kernel module uses.

Can you help with this problem?
