Wireless is not working in ubuntu

My Laptop PC, Celeron, XP SP3:
Alternated OS is ubuntu. 1st OS is XP.
In ubuntu wireless network is not working but in Xp Wireless will start automatically when system logged in( Wireless is secured and pass word protected). Wired LAN Ok.

Hy!

That NIC should work. Check out "lspci" and "/var/log/messages" to figure out whether it's been detected and is up running already. Maybe you've got to load a module or even reconfigure the interface (check with "sudo ifconfig -a"). Unfortunately your problem description hasn't yet made that very clear.
