Wireless connection very slow in Ubuntu.

The OS is called UBUNTU 9pronounced OO-BOON-TOO), Not Ubunto:

Can you give the output of:

sudo lshw -C network

Windows has different support so speed may vary but 2kb/s is pretty poor.

Thanks for the link But I still can't find an Answer... What should i do ?

I installed the compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2. Though my internet speed returned to normal I frequently get crashes with blank screen ( cannot type anything on it).

This happened after i installed the driver.
