AR5001 Wireless Network Adapter unable to connect to Linksys WRT160N wireless-N router using ath5k drivers

Asked by Johan Guzman

I recently installed Ubuntu to my Compaq, It configured every driver but the envidia, it gave rightaway the drivers for the NVIDIA.

My problem is that when I imput the Key to connect to my WRT160n it seems that keypassword does not work but I went in to my modem through wired connection and I've been putting the correct key, I upgraded the firmware to see If It could resolve the issue, but still the same. Is there anything I could do to solve this issue, come kind of software or configuration or anything?

I am very interested, I am trying Ubuntu to have installed in my house and at the office as well, even on the servers, by recommendation from the IT technician, but I need to be sure before proceeding. So any help on this??

Actionparsnip!!!..... I do not know how to thank You Your answer was so helpful. Would be great to find some manual or some PDF file where I could learn the commands, I would like to know about linux as much as I know about Windows or maybe more, It is a program where I see every single app working flawlessly. If You have any PDF file let me know, THANKS AGAIN!!!
