wlan doesnot work after upgrade to Maverick

Asked by Charles Hensgens

Yesterday (11SEP10) I upgraded to the beta version of Maverick. After the upgrade process I could not get a connection with my wlan it looks like the dhcp doesnot give an ipaddress. Reverting back to the 32 kernel everything worked as it supposed to do.

Thanks Wojox,

I had a look over there and found that it most probably is bug #594866 [Maverick][2.6.35] RT2860 (ralink) support seems to be broken (it fails to connect to secured wireless networks).
I had it working with ndiswrapper in the 3 to 4 previous ubuntu versions but now it apparently with kernel 2.6.35 it breaks. Hopefully it will be fixed. Now I have to use the old kernel and then my firefox is broken and have to use konqueror instead.

Greetz,
Charles
