Ubuntu 10.04 HUAWEI E1550 mobile broadband with bangladesh Grameenphone

i m using ubuntu LTS but unfortunately my Edge usb modem is not working in this OS. whereas it is working in windows7 MAC10.5 above. my modem provided by HUAWEI made in china. please help me..........few information is given below

my residence: bangladesh
mobile operator: Grameenphone
Modem:HUAWEI mobile broadband
model: E1550
HSDPA USB stick
for this modem systems requirements
1. windows 2000SP4, windowsXP SP2, vista, windows7
2. Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6 with latest upgrades
3. RAM speed 128MB or above
My laptop is FUJITSU with core i3 processor M330@2.13GHZ 2 gb ram
hopefully i will get proper response.

Hi, you will really need to provide a bit more information about the Huawei hardware.

The booklet and/or pdf provided should at least give a model number?

In addition in your response you could state which country? you bought
the device in and the mobile network provider (Vodafone/Orange/Whatever)

If you reply with this information, then somebody might be able to
help you directly, or point you to some forum postings for
people with similar model number to yourself.
