I just wanted to put again the wireless icon on the top bar. That`s all.
It was there when I installed Ubuntu, but I toke it off someday and I can`t put it there again.
When the wireless icon was on the top bar was easy to connect in the internet, I needed just to clic there and shose some wireless network. And now i can`t conect internet, because the icon is not there and I don`t know how to find a network (despite I know there are a lot networks). I even am using some now, but by windows.
Forgive my bad english, I am brazilian and I am new with Ubuntu.
Thank you very much for your wants to help me!

You are welcome Victor.

If you are in Ubuntu, the icon you talk about is the network-manager applet, I think. Try opening Synaptic in the System menu, Administration, Synaptic, and make sure network-manager is installed.

Is that the problem?

Sorry, maybe I should just give up... : (
I installed it, but I still can't put it on the top bar... it seens like so uncomplicated, but I just can't do that.
Now I can conect, because the network I am using is salved (because I have used it before - when the network conections works).
But if I go to somewhere and need to conect in another wirelles network, I will can't, because I don't know how to oppen the "network manager"
I know it sounds stuped... but i defenitally have a lot to learn about ubuntu
Thank you anyways... = (

Don't give up man. The only thing is that you have to be more careful when installing and uninstalling things.

To definitely solve your problem, just open up a terminal an enter: nm-applet --sm-disable

If network-manager is installed the icon should show up now.

Can you help with this problem?
