Just updated to the newest patch of Ubuntu desktop and I cannot connect to the internet. eth0 says unplugged. I ran test and says everything is working properly. How can I resolve the issue without rolling back?

Create a new connection if you can.

I have the same problem. I have an HP3030 and worked fine until the update. Now when I try to print it says that the printer is not connected. Same thing when I try to scan. The update clearly messed something up.

Ok. Follow this

open the Network connection and Delete the connection.
Click to Add button > IP4 setting > enter the ip address manually (ip address-subnet mask-default getway) and 'Apply' close it.

after that click to network icon at top of the corner and click to 'Auto eth0'

May Be it will help to resolve your problem.. if not just contact me i will find answer.

Best of Luck
Bye

I just ran the repair partition and fixed packets and now it works. I'm not sure what happened. After that ran updates, which fixed another issue.
