wireless connection

Asked by Chad S. Isanhart

I have an Airlink 101/ 150N wireless usb adapter and I cannot connect to the internet. Everything seems to be working properly I can see the connection but it keeps asking me for my password. How can I fix this problem?

Yes, you'll be asked for WPA password from your router first, than the password for keyring (your user password) than right click on wireless icon on top of the panel > Edit Connection > Wireless > Edit > than check Connect automatically and available for all users (all users means the users of computer, not your neighbors ;)

Are you sure that your router uses WPA? And do you know how to setup your router to use WPA? If doesn't support WPA you should update the firmware of the router (I guess).

So, you can check whether or not your router uses WAP by typing the router IP address in Firefox address bar. Here is the example: http://resnet.uci.edu/routersetup.asp

Can you help with this problem?
