Hi :)

Sorry to hear so many problems. It helps us if you could post each of the different types of problems as a different question and try to keep it short and brief. You can always include a link back to this thread so that people can see the detail you have given here.

A link for posting separate questions ...

I have re-named this question putting "wireless" in the title as that appears to be the main problem that needs fixing early on. Have you tried doing an md5sum check on the Ubuntu Cd to make sure the Cd itself is ok?
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM#Check%20the%20CD
Also have you tried other versions of linux other than Ubuntu?

Before installing any version on a particular set of hardware it is usually better to try using the Cd as a bootable Cd to see if you can get a LiveCd session working
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD
This usually gives a good indication of how easy or difficult the install is going to be.

Anyway, hopefully something in there helps!
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Hi

Sorry you have not had any answers so far. I really recommend re-posting a new question about this to try to catch people as the new question arrives here. So far you have managed to avoid people looking at the newest questions as they arrive
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+addquestion

Is the wireless device an internal thing or is it something you plug into the machine?

Tom,
I've not had a chance yet to post the issues as individual bugs. I will post them soon. I have looked at threads I've been pointed to and there is a "fix" possibly. But it is a bullshit fix. I will post the bugs soon.

Michael
