dell with ubuntu-netbook remix ? no, try desktop version.
About wireless it is not important that you see it, enter or choose your code with :
network manager and network tool, install it.
it is important to keep firefox and to install wi-fi first on xp.
dell D505 dual-boot xp sp3

Actually wi-fi is working fine in XP and I have dual boot with Ubuntu 10.10 and all that is working perfect.
can you be more specific how to do it with network manager and network tool please.
Thank for your help

10.10 is in heavy development now it's still Alfa1, what do you expect?
Log a bug, Exactly as Pako says. It's NOT released. It's not even BETA yet so it WILL have issues. If you want a release that works then install Lucid.

ok, I guess that's what I should do.
What is the proper way to uninstall the program, I looked for an uninstall command somewhere but I could not find one.
Thanks again
carzam
If you have maverick and want lucid you must reinstall. If you want to only remove one app you can run:
sudo apt-get --purge remove packagename
or use software-centre.

Actually I tried others things and finally made it work, so , thank you any way for not trying to give me any suggestion.
I know that is only an alpha release but that is exactly the idea try to find and share the problems and solutions to make a better program and you didn't even try to to suggest me anything.
Next time if you are going to respond to this questions have a better attitude.
So far I haven't found any glitch in the 10.10 and is working good.

I am trying to remember, I think that I downloaded new wireless drivers and

Yes, that was it. I hooked up my wired network, it noticed I needed the
driver and download then installed. Very easy.
Thanks,
