Hi,
Thnx for rplying..i followed d steps u suggested n found following ..still not able to connect to Internet.Plz see n suggest the needful i can do...

The program 'wvdial' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:

sudo apt-get install wvdial

wvdial: command not found

om@om-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install wvdial

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree

Reading state information... Done

Package wvdial is not available, but is referred to by another package.

This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or

is only available from another source

E: Package wvdial has no installation candidate

I'm wating....thnx

Seems your package manager has some troubles with software sources...

You can download it from http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/wvdial (on the bottom of the page).
Make sure you first select your current Release (on the top right)!

then install it by double-clicking it or by typing dpkg -i wvdial*.deb in the console.
This way you should be able to install it, but the package isn't updated, as its a little bit a hack, the 'right/but longer way' would be:
To get updates and this "apt-get install wvdial" back to work should have a look at your repositories (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu).

Can you help with this problem?
