application not showing up

I'm using 10.04. I get all the updates that show and found that I have thunder bird. It does not show up in the applications. I started it up in terminal and got it set up all works ok. How do i get it to show up in applications? If this was not showing up how many other applications maybe on here that I don't know about? is their a way to tell?

Right click on Applications, and select to edit menu:

And here you can add Thunderbird in your menu,:

go to the folder /usr/share/applications
