how to convert downloaded flash videos 'youtube' etc?

Asked by J.H. Randoph Wijeyesinghe

Can someone educate me on how to convert downloaded youtube or other video's that could be burned as vcd/dvd's to be played on home video players? I have tried 'DeVeDe' and 'WinFF' that Ubuntu 12.04 Lts provides with no success. Any assistance on the subject would be much appreciatd. Thanks

Randolph

You can use devede to make a DVD ISO you can then biurn (burn as slowly as possible), you can use youtube-dl to download them or one of the countless addons / extensions for web browsers.

Can you help with this problem?
