DVD nightmare

How do I play a dvd? I've spent the past few days trying to get the wifi to work and now this! Is ubuntu like this with everything?

Hiya I tried entering
sudo apt-get install libdvdread4; sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh
into a terminal and then reebooting but nothing happens I still can't play dvds?
I tried going on the page and following the instructions and putting
sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh
into a terminal and reebooting but still nothing?
I tried
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
as well...

What apps have you tried DVD playback with?
