Hey Can Any1 Help me With Cdrom Issue?

Using 8.10 ubuntu linux and everytime i have to burn or open files this is what com's up : Unable To Mount, No media in the drive.

Hello Aigar,
Have you considered upgrading your Ubuntu Version? Ubuntu 8.10 is EOL (End Of Life) and is no longer supported since april 30th 2010. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Yea I want to get my cdrom to work then i wud upgrade it win 7 and my update is fucked up so all i can do is nothing.... can some1 help me Please!!

I personally recommend you download and install Precise. It is in Alpha2 now but is the next release of Ubuntu due in April and will be supported a long time.

Alternatively, install Oneiric which is the current stable release.

I want to get my cdrom to work UNDERSTAND? When I get it work then i burn win 7 on disc (legal download) and make my day happy! by chaning this fu*** up system

Please tell the app you are using to burn... try to install and use xfburn to burn your cd
