Installed fluendo and lost use of my dvd player.

Asked by Robin Hicks

I installed fluendo and lost use of my dvd player. It was working fine until I installed it. I tried uninstalling fluendo and still could not use my dvd player. When I put a in a dvd nothing happens. Using 11.04.

I also tried using regionset, it says I need to put a dvd in, while there is a dvd in it.

sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install libdvdread4; sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh; sudo apt-get -y upgrade

You don't need fluendo to play DVD, you just need the above command and it will work.
