streaming sound recorde

I would like to record music from the internet but NOT via the microphone. Poor quality. Is there a sound recorder software which can record any sound like Sound Tap (Windows) from nh software ? Digital ? I have a Sony Vaio laptop, VGN-FW 351J. It does not have a Wave Out Mix.
