I have 4 of 8 Channels working .rear and sides do not work

I have a Sigma tell Surround sound card that is built in the PC.
 It is an 8 channel surround sound card and right now only 4 of 8 are working
I treid switching between the HDA Alsa Mixer and the Sigma Tell. and that was not any help

I have the sound coming from the following speakers
LFE (sub woofer)
Center, left and right.

I have side and rear speakers plugged in. I alo have noticed that when it is running on windows,
there is a con fig menu for when it "senses" the sides speakers and asks if they are Speakers or mikes.
If some one can send me the scripting file or let me know where to edit the command lines and such
