I cannot play my any audio cd in my laptop (Ubuntu 10.10)
Each time i insert an audio cd, it spins. But a dialog box then appears saying that it cannot mount the location.
What should i do?

It is really similar to my media/drive problem:
have you tried to tweak audio tools? May be problem is there, also if system message tells of deeper ones.
Please, control soon any mute button in gnome mixer and other audio device.
Thanks,
Paolo

P.s is it writer drive? Can you burn music or audio? My error message says that device can read but cannot write...

I just figured out recently that i can play dvd video well, and i can play my cd audio through VLC player "advanced open file" option. But still can't mount the cd drive through GUI & terminal. I can't play cd audio through rhythmbox and totem too..

I haven't checked burning any cd.
Thx Paolo..
