How to use gnome-sound-recorder at 48 KHz?

Asked by Uqbar

I'm running gnome-sound-recorder v2.30.0 on Lucid.
I would like to record stereo audio from an external microphone at 48 KHz, 24 bit as my audio card allows it.
The best I can do, AFAIK, is 24 bit stereo at 44.1 KHz by choosing "CD quality, Lossless".

You can use the command "gnome-audio-profiles-properties" to run the editor for the audio profiles.
But it's not very user friendly. You can check the other profiles to have some ideas of the possible settings. 48KHz seems possible, but I don't know for 24 bits.

Yes, it seems to work.
I presume for 24bits samples I need to study the gstreamer pipeline options.
And I do confirm, it's not user friendly at all.
