How to play vcd in ubuntu?

I can not play vcd in ubuntu 10.4. I have been installed mplayer but it does not work! So, help me to solve this problem.

You could try installing "gxine" from the Ubuntu Software Centre, this program works for the one VCD I own ;-)

Install vlc media player...that will solve the problem and use vlc in place of mplayer.
VLC can be installed with synaptic package manager.
