Unlocking problem: enter the password for default keyring to unlock

Sometimes the message occurs "enter the password for default keyring to unlock".Unfortunately,when I do so,it again display the same result.I don't know which password is looking for?This happen when i connected usb modem.

It is afaik from your question your "sudo" password is your keyring pass. A assume you login automagically?

I had that same issue with evolution after changing my password. That prompt appears when evolution is started, and the password it expects is the old one, the one i changed from. Don't know why this happens... but if you happen to have changed your password you might try using the old one.

well It does not except both the previous and current password.

to fix it - just delete /home/YOUR NAME/.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring

gnome/network manager will recreate the default.keyring with correct permisssions next time you connect
