Password won't unlock default keyring

Asked by mansej99df

I am just an hour into setting up a dual-boot system on an XP machine so apologies for novice query. Ubuntu boots but I can't make a wireless connection.

When I try to connect, I get a dialog entitled "Unlock Keyring" with the instruction "enter password for default keyring to unlock". I enter the password I use to log on (the only one I have set during installation) but when I clock OK the dialog just clears and sits there until I escape out of the network connections tool.

How do I get past this keyring thing?

Keyring requires password used on installation not password subsequently changed
