How to delete scores in Mahjongg (gnome-games, ubuntu hardy heron)

Asked by suzanne matiz

I read the solutions prior to this message, but I still did not succeed to delete the scores of Mahjongg. I deleted the mahjongg folder in ~/.gconf/mahjongg
but the scores are still there. I looked through all the hidden directories in my home folder, but I cannot locate a mahjongg folder. Please help, how can I delete the scores?
Thanx.

The path is not correct:

Need a empty that files (no erase this file):

/var/games/mahjongg.bridges.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.cloud.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.confounding.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.difficult.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.dragon.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.easy.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.pyramid.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.tictactoe.scores
/var/games/mahjongg.ziggurat.scores

Remember, empty.

Apologies for waking this thread from the dead...

I am having the same problem with trying to reset mahjongg scores (most of which read 0.0 mins), only I cannot change or delete the files stored in /var/games/ as they are read only and apparently I don't have the permission to alter that...

How please how? Ubuntu Virgin...

@jim smith,

Try using sudo. Also many of us don't see old threads 'waking up' as you say. You should post a NEW question if you need help with this.

Cheers.
