Ubuntu One Games Store?

Asked by Juan Montoya

I see the Ubuntu One Music Store as an attempt to gain revenue from Ubuntu.
It is also a good way in which end users can support Canonical.

However, an issue that desperately needs attention are games for Ubuntu.
Most people use windows only to play games.

If Canonical sold games as it sells music these days, I'd do it: I would pay for real games that work right out of the box.
With real games I mean non-free high quality games such as Doom 3, Penumbra, which already work and games that can be ported if there were enough customers, especially online games where access can be rejected if you don't pay.

Think about a game like Starcraft II, World of Warcraft, Diablo III, Lineage 2, Aion, Blade and Soul.
For example, how many Ubuntu players out there would pay for that game? Is there enough money to hire developers to port the game to linux?

So, Is it possible to have a Games Store for Ubuntu?
