Can't see the vertical lines on the grid

I can't see any vertical lines on the grid of the Mines game.

The cleared areas with the numbers on its borders do show the dashed vertical lines, both horizontal and vertical, but I mean the areas that are still unknown, those show no vertical lines. It slows down my game quite a bit, not sure when it started.

Running Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS. I have tried changing themes, changing colors and the settings of my Nvidia card, nothing. Vertical lines on the grid just don't show up any possible way.

Oops, changing the theme or the colors didn't do anything, but I just realized, customizing the theme by changing the Controls seems to have brought the vertical lines back.
